Series of books I read via my e-reader.

The Savage Fae’s Mate

Bookstagram is overflowing with Fae enthusiasts, largely thanks to Maa’s ACOTR series (a review of the series is coming). I can’t recall the exact reason I decided to pick up this book. It might have been because I was in the mood for a chase trope or perhaps another captivating fae romance. All I can say for certain is that this book didn’t deliver on those expectations. With the sheer volume of recommendations flooding BookTok and Bookstagram, it’s often challenging to discern whether a book is a hidden gem or simply a dud. Ultimately, I’m uncertain where this one falls on that spectrum.

Bonded By Thorns

I first came across the book when the author shared about it on TikTok, and that moment ignited an immediate urge within me to dive into its pages. Admittedly, there might be a slight exaggeration in that statement, as my initial exposure to it happened through the frequent mentions on Booktok. The book had made its presence felt numerous times, and it was during one such instance that a particular quote about fated mates caught my attention. At that point, I couldn’t help but give in to the intrigue and declare, almost playfully, “FINE!” I’m going to read it.

King of Battle and Blood

This isn’t my initial encounter with a Scarlett St. Clair book. I was previously introduced to the author through “A Touch of Darkness” a Hades and Persephone retelling. While I wouldn’t say I had strong negative feelings about it, I also didn’t fall head over heels for it. Truth be told, I never managed to reach the series’ conclusion, a circumstance perpetuated by my ever-expanding to-be-read list. Yet, when scrolling Goodreads and seeing the author was embarking upon the realm of vampires, a thought along the lines of “Oh, this could be good” flitted through my mind. Armed with this curiosity, I embarked on this new journey and, oh boy, it was bloody.

The Lost and the Chosen

As young adult, romance, and fantasy genres continue to sweep the bookish world by storm, we have witnessed a significant surge in influence from BookTok creators, who are introducing fresh and intriguing twists to their audiences. While paranormal romances and urban fantasies may not be new to some, there’s no denying that reverse harem stories have been making a splash on many “for you” pages. So, let’s delve into this thrilling addition to the spicy genre and explore what makes it so enticing.

To Bleed and Crystal Bloom

Amidst the influx of recent New Adult fantasy releases, “To Bleed a Crystal Bloom” finds itself inevitably compared to the works of literary giants like Sarah J. Maas and Jennifer L. Armentrout. For avid fans of their writing, this novel is likely to be a delightful read, yet Sarah A. Parker undeniably possesses her own distinct and captivating voice. As her debut work, the book showcases her potential while acknowledging some minor imperfections. Nonetheless, the narrative remains incredibly intriguing, making it a compelling topic for discussion. Let’s delve into its captivating world!
